By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website. In case of any difference between the Arabic and English versions, the Arabic version prevails.
1. Who we are and what we do
PL8JO (“we”, “us”) runs this website as an online showcase and intermediary for distinctive Jordanian vehicle number plates. We publish listings, receive inquiries and help buyers and sellers connect.
- PL8JO is a private business. We are not a government body and are not affiliated with, or acting for, the Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Department (DVLD) or any other authority.
- Unless a listing clearly says otherwise, PL8JO does not own the plates shown. Each plate belongs to its seller.
- No payments are made through this website. Any service fee or commission is agreed separately and in writing before a deal.
2. Ownership transfers happen only at the DVLD
A plate number is registered with the DVLD. Ownership of a number passes only when the DVLD completes the official transfer procedure in line with the laws and regulations in force at that time, which may include fees, required documents and conditions such as the absence of seizures, mortgages or unpaid violations.
- A listing on this website is an advertisement, not a transfer, title or guarantee.
- PL8JO does not guarantee that the DVLD will approve any transfer, or that rules, fees or procedures will not change.
- Buyers and sellers (or their legally authorized representatives) are responsible for completing the procedure at the DVLD.
3. Rules for sellers
By submitting a plate you confirm, and are responsible for, the following:
- You are the registered owner of the plate number or are legally authorized in writing to advertise and sell it.
- The information you give is true, complete and up to date.
- The plate is not subject to any seizure (حجز), mortgage (رهن), dispute, legal restriction or unpaid violations that would block a transfer — or you have disclosed it to us.
- You will provide proof of ownership when asked (for example the vehicle registration “Sanad” showing the plate, or the ownership page from the DVLD website or app) and agree that PL8JO may review it.
- You will not list government, reserved or otherwise restricted numbers, or any plate you cannot legally transfer.
Submissions are never published automatically. PL8JO may review, edit for clarity, refuse, pause or remove any listing at any time, including when ownership cannot be verified. You agree to compensate PL8JO for losses caused by false information or by a breach of these rules.
4. Notes for buyers
- Prices are final asking prices in Jordanian Dinars and may change. All prices exclude the DVLD transfer fees and any other official charges, which are paid separately at the Licensing Department. A listing is not a binding offer.
- Availability can change at any time. “Reserved” means another buyer is in progress; “Sold” means the plate is no longer available.
- Always check ownership and transfer conditions at the DVLD before paying anything. Never transfer money to anyone you cannot verify. PL8JO will never ask you to pay a deposit to an unknown account.
- A “Verified reseller” badge means PL8JO reviewed that seller’s documents at a point in time. It is not a guarantee of any deal.
5. Limits of liability
The website and its content are provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by the laws of Jordan, PL8JO is not liable for: the accuracy of information supplied by sellers; disputes, losses or damages between buyers and sellers; decisions, fees or delays of the DVLD or other authorities; or interruptions of the website. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Jordanian law.
Acceptable use. You must not submit false or misleading information, impersonate anyone, copy or scrape the website, interfere with its operation, or use it for any unlawful purpose, including anything prohibited by the Cybercrime Law. Content and design on this website belong to PL8JO or its licensors. By sending photos you allow PL8JO to show them on the website and its social media to promote your listing.
6. Privacy Policy
We process personal data in line with the Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023 of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Data we collect
- Sell form: name, mobile/WhatsApp number, plate code and number, asking price, whether the plate is on a car, description, your confirmations and a ticket number.
- Proof of ownership and photos you send us on WhatsApp.
- Contact form: name, mobile number, optional email and your message.
- Report form: the plate reported, the reason, your name, mobile number, optional email, what happened, whether you say you are the owner, and a report number.
- Messages and calls you make to PL8JO.
- Technical data: your browser stores your language choice and an anonymous session key, and our hosting provider keeps standard server logs. We do not use advertising trackers.
Why we use it: to review and verify listings, respond to inquiries, arrange deals, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations. Our legal basis is your consent, given when you submit a form or contact us, and our legal obligations.
Who sees it: PL8JO staff only. Seller contact details are never published; buyers contact PL8JO, not the seller. We share data with a buyer or seller only as needed to complete a deal you asked us to arrange, or with authorities when the law requires. We never sell personal data.
Service providers and transfers outside Jordan: the website and its forms are hosted by Wix.com, and WhatsApp messages are handled by WhatsApp (Meta). Their servers may be outside Jordan. By submitting a form or messaging us, you explicitly consent to this transfer.
How long we keep it: submissions and messages for up to 12 months after a listing ends or a request is closed; proof-of-ownership documents only as long as needed to verify the plate, and in any case no longer than 30 days after verification, unless the law requires longer.
Your rights: you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, withdraw your consent, or object to processing, by contacting us below. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer publish your listing. We protect data with access controls and work with reputable providers, and we will notify you and the competent authority of any serious breach as the law requires. This website is not intended for anyone under 18.
7. Changes, governing law and contact
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the courts of Amman have jurisdiction.
